The Titan: Sheldon Dingwall's pioneering multiscale concept, brought to guitar.
The Titan is Infinia's collaboration with Sheldon Dingwall, founder of Dingwall Guitars and the designer behind decades of multiscale bass innovation. Inspired by the Dingwall NG bass, the Titan is Infinia's first fan-fret instrument — built to bring the clarity, tension balance, and extended-range articulation of multiscale design to guitar players, not just bassists.
Multiscale design
The Titan uses a fanned-fret layout with the neutral (perpendicular) fret at the 10th, so the feel stays familiar in the middle of the neck while the outer strings get the tension benefits of a longer or shorter scale where they need it most.
6-string: 26" (bass side) to 24.8" (treble side)
7-string: 27" (bass side) to 25.2" (treble side)
The fanned layout also results in a shorter overall instrument length than a traditional straight-scale guitar of comparable scale.
Neck & construction
The Titan uses a multi-laminate neck construction consistent with Infinia's other models, with a hidden magnetic truss rod cover as a design detail specific to this model. (Infinia hasn't published full wood/fretboard specs for the Titan the way dealers have for Ceres and Neptune — worth confirming exact materials, fret count, and radius before this goes live.)
Electronics
The Titan ships with a choice of two Alnico 5 pickup sets, in keeping with the Standard (Icarus/Nautilus) and Modern (Avalon/Exelion) options offered across the Infinia line. (Confirm this naming applies to Titan specifically before publishing — Infinia's own materials describe the sets by magnet type rather than by name.)
Construction & availability
Built to order, currently offered in 6- and 7-string versions. Like the rest of the Infinia line, expect a lead time of several months given small-batch, made-to-order production.
